educational projects
regenerative learning of the individual and collective potential
The following are examples of projects that can be adapted to your organizational or local context.
“indigaia” also offers personalized projects based on your unique context and interest.
"Minga"
Student’s knowledge about the world is based on what the society is offering to them through social interaction, education and technology. They cannot imagine what the world was like before their time. That is why they normalize the reality around them as it is the only reality they know about. How can we awaken the sense of place in the young generations and develop their desire to take care and protect the natural environment?
“Minga” was successfully implemented in the Galapagos Islands. It was created as an educational project with 7th graders from Tomas de Berlanga School (2020) and in collaboration with one of the most important local organizations – “Frente Insular de la Reserva Marina de Galápagos”.
"Why?"
It is common for today's students to perceive the learning process as a “have to” or a “must”, as something either imposed or required by teachers or parents. This leads to frustration and rejection of the learning process and the people involved. How can we change this?
“Why?” was successfully implemented in Indonesia , Vietnam and Ecuador
Choice
We know that the choices we make today contribute to the state of tomorrow's world. It is common to perceive something that harms the environment and people as exterior to us and our choices. That stands behind the lack of engagement in contributing to solutions required for the challenges our society and nature is facing. How can we help students understand this?
“Choice” was successfully implemented in Indonesia and Ecuador
