Why?

It is common for today's students to perceive the learning process as a “have to” or a “must”, as something imposed either by teachers and required by parents. When students understand the benefits of learning regardless of the subject, their perspective shifts from a “have to” to a “want to” and with that, the intention of learning as well. The project was created based on an exploration process of learning English as foreign language by students of University of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo from Indonesia.

The project was successfully implemented in Indonesia, Vietnam and Ecuador, for different age-group levels and in different educational contexts.

Minga

Children's knowledge about the world is based on what the society and the educational system is offering to them. They cannot imagine what the world was like before their time. That is why they normalize the damage done to the natural environment every day, they see it as something normal because it is the only reality they know about. This project has the purpose to awaken the sense of place in the young generations, develop the desire for taking care and protect the natural environment.
